The Disabled Veterans National Foundation is under investigation in Florida? for paying off another veterans charity years ago after being accused of stealing that group?s logo design and other aspects of operations and solicitations for use in a fundraising campaign of its own, according to CNN.

The state probe follows an earlier investigation of the veterans group that was opened in May by the U.S. Senate Finance Committee over whether the charity has directed enough of the money it raises to its mission to be eligible to retain its tax-exempt status.

CNN also reports that the attorneys general of New York and California are investigating?Quadriga Art LLC, a direct-marketing company that has raised questions because of its work with charities that spend much of the money they raise on services provided by the company.

The Disabled Veterans National Foundation is one of the hundreds of charities Quadriga has worked with.

See The Chronicle?s article about questions that have been raised about Quadriga?s business practices.
