Robert Pattinson Reacts to Nickname: Down with R. Patt!

In a new, long, winding interview with The Guardian, Robert Pattinson touches on many topics: his reputation, his new movie, his difficulty with auditioning.

But one quote from the handsome star caught our attention and it's worth highlighting here, lest fans accidentally piss the Twilight Saga stud off upon crossing his path.

Robert Pattinson at Cosmopolis Premiere

"When I got this part, every single article that came out was, 'R-Patz's struggle for credibility!'" Pattinson told the publication of landing the starring role in Cosmopolis. "I don't understand who invented that thing, 'R-Patz.' I want to strangle them."

Duly noted, Robert.

Among other subjects Pattinson addresses in the interview:

On proving skeptics wrong: "Nothing ever matters to me apart from the people with negative opinions. That's literally it. That always drives me on to the next thing. It's funny, you just focus on them and then the next movie. That's the only thing you're thinking about when it comes out."

On choosing Cosmopolis: "It's so different to other films, and that's one of the reasons I wanted to do it. You read the script and you're like, "Is this actually getting made? It's set in a car, there's so much talking about experimental economics.'"

On auditioning for projects: "I was always shit at auditions. Since Twilight, I've done two. One of them was for a job I'm doing now and it was really hard."
