A two-day extravaganza of fine food, drink and racing at the beautiful July Course at Newmarket Racecourses takes place over Friday 24th and Saturday 25th August.
In a luxurious marquee situated opposite the Parade ring, a dozen fine food and drink producers are offering free tastings and sampling opportunities. After all that tasting (if there?s still room) racegoers can buy their favourite treats to take home and enjoy later.
The Adnams Bar is there serving a range of beer and wines, including the newly released brew, Topaz Gold. The Adnams beach hut has arrived from Southwold, too, with wines, spirits, beers and Adnams goodies for customers to taste and buy.
Producers include La Hogue Farm, who are offering an array of fine local foods, including their famous hog roast (racegoers can find the roast near Premier Enclosure Entrance 2).
There?s sweet treats, too ? including delicious gourmet yoghurt from Little Melton, melt-in-the-mouth chocolate from Gnaw, yummy Yum Yum tree Fudge and cupcakes from Simone that (almost) look too good to eat.
Those with a savoury tooth are advised to seek out the Cheese and Pie Man, whose range of mouthwatering produce includes award-winning pies made with local ingredients as well as a selection of speciality cheeses.
All this, and an entire day of exhilarating, world-class racing. The beauty of the horses is set off perfectly by the stylish and immaculately maintained July Course.
