General Description:
The Department of Psychology at
Pacific Lutheran University seeks candidates for a 3-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Teach the equivalent of a 6 course load including Introduction to Psychology, an upper division experimental course with a lab (e.g., Learning Theories or Tests & Measurements), and other clinically related courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theories, Counseling Theories, and Internship supervision.
- Hold regular office hours.
- Communicate effectively.
- Work cooperatively with other faculty and staff.
- Graduate training in Clinical Health Psychology.
- Commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education.
- Commitment to actively involving undergraduates in research program.
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. ABD will be considered, but Ph.D. must be in hand by September 1, 2013.
- Preference will be given to applicants able to teach Introduction to Statistics and to those who are licensed or license-eligible.
