It is hard to tell from your description what you mean . . if your grandmother has only one small brain abrasion than it may be doable to treat it either with surgery, chemotherapy, gammaknife, or cyberknife . . much really depends on her by and large shape, the type of metastasis, the size, the place, and how many are there. There are way too many variables to know what chances your grandmother has . . but if she is still alive right now . .than nothing else matters. Concentrate on today and don?t worry about what might happen. She may be able to have this treated.

Metastatic Brain Tumor? To whom it my concern,

My name is Jerome and I have cancer. Let me start off with

a modest history. In March of 2007 I was hospitalized with

Pneumonia .Through a X-Ray there was a touch suspicious.

At that point we had ether or both CAT,MRI done. It showed

to be a progression of some kind.I was sent to a Dr.of Oncology.

This Dr. had a PET scan done.He prearranged a biopsy and it

came back malignant.I was sent to general practitioner were he

indifferent the lower lobe of the right lung, and 2 of

6 biopsys came back positive. After that I went

through 4 sessions chemo. About a month after the chemo

I had to have two disk fused in my neck.I made it through all that

and was felling really excellent about my shape.I quit smoking for 3

months be for I found out I had cancer(Non-Small Cell).

In Feb. of 2008 I was place into the hospital with pneumonia

I had been having headaches the last few months, but with

the pneumonia every time I coughed Me head hurt really terrible.

My Dr. had CT done on the brain, previous to I could get back to the room

they wheeled me back for a MRI.They said I had a brain tumor.

The lung cancer had went to the brain. So I got more opinions.

I had stanch to have the surgery, then hit it with radiation, witch

was done the first week of march. Now I go back to my oncologist

4/22/08 for a further Brain scan, and a Pet scan.Does anyone know

what I might nexpect from here? Its been a rough year and a half on

me and my family but with the peace and like of God we have made

it thus far.

Thank you and God bless you,

Jerry

Jerry wow this sucks and I plotting my life was rough. I can?t tell you what to guess thats in gods hands as you well know, but it seems like your a person who keeps his spirits high which is real positive for anyone primarily someone in you situation.
About 2 years ago one of my best acquaintances fathers was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor that had perfectly surrounded his brain stem and since of the type of cancer and were the tumor was located it was perfectly deadly and cemo was totallt out of the question too. the doctor sweet much told him that his days were numbered and that he better start casing his pail list. so he went on about life as habitual but stopping to smell the roses a modest more often then he use to (his type of cancer was a very rare type correlated to agent orange a type that ordinarily grows out of hegemony until it consumes your whole brain funtion) He keep going to all his doctors app. and keep a positive attitude about the whole situation. The tumor keep growing as expected until about 8 months ago he went to a doctors app. to see how things were going and when the dr came back into the room he had a look of amazment on his face and told him he couldn?t judge it not only had the tumor stopped growing but it was really shrinking like his body was fighting it genuinely he is doing alot better now and things are being paid better everyday. I?ve seen this a number of times and it seems to me as long as you keep positive and go on about life the best you can the body will really trigger a touch and start attacking the cancer on its own keep up with your oncologist and never get down no topic how terrible it seems to be being paid (I know simple for me to say not walking in your shoes) But if you get down and let it it will be much simpler for the cancer to take over and consume your whole life and body, So keep a positive attitude get it in your psychi. that you will beat it and keep your faith in the lord and only time will tell Stay passionate and I?m adding you to my contacts keep me posted if you can?..

There are several excellent breast cancer sites that have brilliant information.
I have stage 4 breast cancer too. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and started a aromatose inhibitor therapy and have been doing well ever since. I will never be cured but my disease can be managed. For how long? Don?t know. I just thank God for every day and don?t place anything off until tomorrow.
Be positive for her and don?t dwell on her illness. There is so much more to her than cancer and that is what is valuable.l
